Names mean a lot. Twitter and its little blue bird felt upbeat. Hopeful. A beautiful spring birdsong. The big X with its black background is foreboding, angry, a sense of doom. A reminder of negative signs or assignment papers with errors X'd off. Blue Sky sounds hopeful. Alive. Searching for meaning and goodness. We all need a gleam of hope.

Gifting OWR attendance is a gift to myself. I do not want things, only experiences. Yes, I am enrolled and paid for 2025; the dates are written in ink on my paper calendar. Digital calendars have been abandoned as they remind me of my overbooked and deadline driven work life. Plus, I always need something good on my horizon.

I enjoyed reading the story by Walt Shotwell from the Trib. I subscribed to the Trib in 1982, but I did not recall that column. It is interesting to see how the radio audience is divided today. My top choices are at or near the bottom on your list.

Great column this morning, Julie, thank you. Welcome to Blue Sky! It is a much more friendly place to be and we all need that these days. I had forgotten that you had a show on the radio. You are fearless 💪🏻!

Re: WHO. The mind-numbing dreck that WHO serves (from the morning propaganda fest to the evening chortling British dude) may be responsible for lowering the Iowa IQ by at least 25%. When Limbaugh was allowed to pollute Iowa airwaves, it was only a matter of time b4 we’d end up here. Sad and disgusting.

Yes, when Limbaugh came to town, civility left.
