I do vividly remember.

However, it had nothing to do with politics.

It was a drenching realization that caused pressure in my brain and flooded my entire body.

I was about 10, I think, and I cried out, "That's not FAIR!" to my father.

And my attitude toward my parents was never the same.

I was standing at the kitchen table with my mother and grandmother. We were snapping beans or some other task of summer. They were upset because a cousin's cousin had gotten married. I was confused. Weddings were the ultimate goal for children, so why was this so upsetting to them? I asked. They explained --in what words--I don't remember, that the cousin's cousin's husband had very dark skin. He was a "them." I asked why that was wrong. Knowing full-well that I had been marinated and indoctrinated and macerated in "Jesus loves ALL the children of the world," they stumbled. They had no answer. Then one of them finally mumbled, "Think of the children." I tried to think of the children. Nothing came to mind. Somehow I intuited that the children would have some kind of trouble. But Jesus-loves-me Dianne couldn't figure that out. Epilogue. My granddaughter's skin is much darker than mine. Now I understand.

Fair wasn't ever a part of my life, figuring out how to squeeze what you could use or needed out of whatever presented itself was how I survived and thrived. While others wilted in the face of whatever went wrong. Trump needs to have his feet held to the fire until they start to burn, he is capable of cracking once you get him between a rock and hard place! Slow Joe never was the right person for this job, yet he has surprised many with what he has accomplished. You have to give him credit, he does have stick to it, even if he is a little off the wall at times. Let's see what he's got before we dump him, if he can bring Trump to heel even once, he will have done something no one else has been able to do, including the courts.

I was in second grade -- After lunch, we were all in line in the hallway waiting - do not know why. The boy in front of me pushed me and then the boy behind pushed me. They did this back and forth until I got mad and was going to fight them. The principal came along just I started to fight back, I was the one who got dressed down. Much of the Biden criticism is not fair - especially compared to Trump. The political reality is President Biden has lost the faith of the majority of Americans and Democrats to serve as president until 2029. His debate performance was a confirmation of the fears and doubts, not a one off. Senator Udall once said, "the voters have spoken, damn them" Incumbency kept us from a real decision.

Leaders of the party that presents itself as the defender of democracy are trying to unseat their sitting president four months before the election, after that president became the de facto nominee.

These are the same leaders who have insisted that this president was elected four years ago in a

legitimate election.

GOP leaders persuaded Nixon to resign or face impeachment after news reports generated public concern about Watergate.

Biden faces no such imminent threat of removal from office for high crimes and misdemeanors.

Nevertheless Biden has been targeted for removal by news outlets. The odd thing is that these are the very same media outlets that supported him uncritically until the debate.
