A Republican like Dawn, I truly respect. Years ago there were many in Iowa as she mentioned, Bob Ray. Though I am a Democrat, Bob Ray always earned cross the aisle votes. He did so much for Iowa. The Iowa Reynold GOP make me nauseous.
It’s wonderful. It’s truly wonderful. History will write the books and it won’t be pretty but it will be fact and the GOP won’t be in power until they can sort themselves out.
Thank you, Julie, for a very heartening report. Dawn Roberts truly reminds us former Republicans what Iowa used to be. So many great Republicans in the era manifested qualities so absent today. Not only have the people changed, but the kind of people have totally changed. Once in Iowa Republicans demonstrated breadth of knowledge, personal honor, honesty, rationality, decency toward others, belief in evidence, and basic wisdom. Current Iowa Republicans revile about every one of those.
