It's important to get away from the screens and be around others of like minds. And you never know what opportunities await you at the conference. At my last conference, the Cat Writers' Association, even though we were virtual I received an editor's request to write an article for her magazine. Maybe you'll meet with an agent or a publisher. Just get out there and make those connections.
