Not sure the issue is frequency. It’s length - One recent one went on rather long == Not that sometimes it’s not warranted but I think you try to put too many issues/ideas into each one and that then creates a longer email == one a day is not an issue = I read Heather Cox Richardson and while I know she can be long, there’s lots of information there plus historical context.

I am enjoying reading - thank you.

Julie -- I really appreciate the candor with which you are approaching this latest "assignment." I am VERY dismayed and angry with the lack of a coordinated roll out of the vaccines here in Iowa. I am the oldest of 5 kids and the only one in the state with mom and dad living in a condo about 4 or 5 blocks from me. Dad is 88 (89 in March) and mom 86 with asthma. This act of getting the vaccine is not orderly or equitable. In Cedar Rapids, we have NO information on how to sign up -- these 80-somethings have to keep checking and checking to see if they can even talk to someone. There should be a universal sign up or -- we should be doing this like the Shingles vaccines -- which was limited in the beginning. It went through the primary care Docs who contacted their neediest, many times oldest, patients and worked their way through their practices. The current way is a free for all, with the race going to the more technologically literate, those who can stay on the phone or internet all day or those with connections. No wonder we are 49th among the states for percent of population vaccinated. There was plenty of time to plan this rollout. We need leaders who leave politics at the election and really care for the people of Iowa.
