...we are expecting
I adored my rescue dog, who turned out to be mostly beagle. I admit to having a Doodle now and yes, we do have fewer allergies. I have ten grandkids and at the time, an older dog and picked my pup out after watching a video of her and noting she was not aggressive. I kind of miss the god-like status my rescue bestowed on me, though.
So cute! Have 2 nieces with Doodles. Glad there is a poodle in the breeding, their doodles beat the weight boundaries. The increased toy poodle vs doodle should help. I had a cockapoo with increased toy poodle that kept size down. I don't know how you stood that many years without a dog...
We have always had shelter dogs, too, but during COVID, it was impossible to find a smaller shelter dog to adopt, so we "shopped" and got a mini golden doodle. The most loving dog ever. And Julie, if you ever need a dogsitter, you know I am reliable. I dogsat one of your dogs in Alta many years ago.
Aww! Absolutely love this.
That is one cute puppy!!!
Congrats! We have a Cockapoo with the same specs. Dudley will make your lives complete. It’s a Doodle world!
Ohhhh - wish I lived near you - I'd puppy sit any time!
Hooray! Hooray! Julie has a dog again! Great news. I'm ready for one too, but I can't get past the 25 lb limit here at the village. I still want a 50 to 75 pounder!
We can’t wait to meet Dudley! He is an adorable little scene stealer 😍 When we got the news about your birthday surprise I told you that Dudley was one lucky little puppy. Reading about the greeting you and Richard get from that little guy, Dudley has already come to that conclusion as well!
Puppies are the best.
Can’t wait to meet Dudley thru your stories!
Great story. Heartwarming...
Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Very cute!
This story had me sweating a bit (and feeling an immediate kinship with Richard). I made the same 'no dog' vow with Janeen twenty-seven years ago! Our love of frequent travel together, now in the Netherlands, keeps the issue at bay.
Your 'once love is experienced' paragraph was so well written, and spot on!
