Hey, Hey! It’s Ty Da today.

Ty Rushing is our Monday Zoom Lunch guest.

If he stacked up the Iowa Newspaper Association Awards, he’s accumulated it would be big. He’s adopted Iowa, and Iowa has adopted Ty Rushing.

Today, he leads the digital media blog Iowa Starting Line. The primary focus is to cover Iowa Politics. Still, Rushing’s understanding of leveraging social media brought many new readers because of his ‘Ty Tries' segment, which is his excuse to eat all kinds of weird stuff.

Ty will be one of the 32 speakers for our upcoming Okoboji Writers’ Retreat, so we’ll chat about that. Also, he recently wrote, produced, and directed his first documentary film, “Telling Our Own Story: Ending Racism,” in conjunction with Iowa PBS.

He’s witty, charming, and smart, and I guarantee you’ll have fun today.
