VW spokesman coming on the Potluck today
....meet the former executive editor of Car and Driver magazine
Today, our noon (central time) Zoom guest is Mark Gillies, the head of VW's public relations in North America. I’ve been hounding Mark since I first read about plans for the manufacturer to revive the old VW van, and today, he is kind enough to come on our podcast.

Mark Gillies is the Public Relations and Reputation Director at Volkswagen of America. He transitioned to this role in May 2011 after an exceptional 28-year career in automotive journalism. Gillies held notable positions, including Executive Editor at Car and Driver magazine and editor roles at the UK's CAR magazine.
In his current job with Volkswagen, Gillies oversees communications strategies and serves as a key spokesperson for the company. He has addressed various topics, such as the decision not to offer certain Volkswagen models in the U.S. market and the company's commitment to electric vehicles like the ID. Buzz.

New Potluck Subscriber?
Monday Zoom Lunch is an ongoing feature of this potluck column, which is so-called because everyone brings something to the table.
All subscribers receive a link to the scheduled guest program and are eligible to participate in the conversation. During these calls, I spend the first 15 minutes interviewing the speaker and inviting others to participate. This is recorded and turned into an audio podcast.
If you have an idea for a topic or speaker, please let me know:
Did you see the Sunday Roundup of Iowa Writers’ Collaborative columns yesterday?
It’s packed with solid information and commentary you will want to read:
