Welcome to our new subscribers! This column is called a Potluck because we offer a bit of this and that, and you - the reader - bring something to the table. On Mondays over noon, we invite guests with expertise about a topic of interest. I interview them for the first 15-20 minutes, then turn it over to participants on the call to ask questions. The conversation is recorded and turned into an audio podcast.
Our upcoming schedule is as follows:
Monday, May 20: Michael Dahlstrom, Michael Dahlstrom is the director of the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University.
What is misinformation and why does it seem so persuasive?
How does social media and now AI impact misinformation?
What can we as individuals do to protect ourselves from being fooled by misinformation?

Graham assumed the responsibilities of the Polk County Attorney on January 3, 2023, and is the first woman elected to the role.
