Our Monday Zoom lunch guest is Phoebe Wall Howard. Our careers at The Des Moines Register overlapped decades ago, and thanks to technology, we’ve kept up with each other (at least the Facebook surface version of our lives) through the years.
Phoebe has been in and out of a journalism career, and was an entrepreneur in California before being lured back into the world that suits her non-stop, frenetic energy. She is ‘back home’ in the Detroit area, and turning boring old car stories (her words) into flashy, must-read feature pieces along with breaking news.
The writer was a big hit with attendees at last year’s Okoboji Writers’ Retreat, and will be back again this fall, so we’ll talk about her experience there last year and what she’ll teach this time.
And, we’ll talk about the auto industry - where does it stand?
Join in the fun starting at noon today. If you’ve not attended one of our Zoom lunches, please do. It’s more like being invited to a dinner party and having a conversation around the table, than it is a boring Zoom business meeting.
