Meet Aaron Parnas: Where Legal Insight Meets TikTok Savvy
On February 10 of this year, the TikTok sensation turned Substack phenom announced he was going to make his career in journalism full-time. A flood of grateful readers upgraded from free to paid, and he was on his way.
This post alone brought in 6,411 hearts —- which is akin to Sally Fields feeling: You like me. You really like me, upon winning an Academy Award.
If you’ve scrolled through political TikTok in the past year, chances are Aaron Parnas has already landed in your feed—breaking down a Supreme Court decision in under a minute or calmly dismantling a viral conspiracy theory while sipping coffee.
At just 26, Aaron is redefining what journalism looks like in the digital age. A lawyer by training and a storyteller by instinct, he brings sharp legal analysis, political commentary, and a Gen Z sensibility to platforms often written off as fluff. With over 3.5 million followers on TikTok and a fast-growing audience on Substack, Aaron is bridging the gap between the courtroom, the newsroom, and the scroll-happy public square.
He’s also the son of Lev Parnas, one of the key figures in the Trump–Ukraine scandal, and has written candidly about his journey from a GOP-aligned teen to a fiercely independent thinker and Democratic voice. His newsletter, The Parnas Perspective, is part legal explainer, part personal reckoning, and all delivered with clarity and conviction.
I’ll be interviewing Aaron—and we’ll talk about the future of journalism, political polarization, social media’s role in shaping public opinion, and what it means to be a truth-teller in an algorithm-driven world. You won’t want to miss this conversation.
Our Monday Zoom Lunch calls take place at noon central time, and is open to all subscribers.
