Let’s meet State Auditor Rob Sand together. He’ll be our guest on our Monday Zoom podcast call starting at noon. The Zoom link is below.
Rob Sand is the lone Democratic statewide officeholder in Iowa. The Republican-controlled Iowa legislature passed a bill that limited some of State Auditor Rob Sand’s powers to conduct certain types of audits. The law, signed by Governor Kim Reynolds in June 2023, restricts the state auditor’s access to information, particularly data that could be considered private or confidential, such as law enforcement records and medical information.
What do we not know because of this?
Join me at noon today to get to know him and learn what he sees as his future and that of the state of Iowa.
