Meet Polk County Attorney Kimberly Graham
…she stepped into the role, assuming the reins from a decades-long officeholder.
Polk County Attorney Kimberly Graham is our guest on Monday, June 3, at noon central time via the Zoom link below.
The first woman to serve in this capacity campaigned on bold initiatives, including bail reform, racial justice, and addressing the fact that so many who end up in the criminal justice system are in need of mental health assistance, not incarceration.
Graham brings to the position a background in juvenile justice issues. How is she incorporating her experience into the prosecutorial role of County Attorney?
She replaced John Sarcone, who held the elected position for decades, and assumed the position in January of 2023.
Let’s find out together she feels she is doing, what are the challenges to reforms she advocated, and what she hopes to accomplish.
