Our Monday Zoom lunch guest today is Dr. Mary Skopec, executive director of Lakeside Labs.

She is a scientist who is steeped in water quality and ecology and will discuss exciting breakthroughs in using healing properties found in mother nature.

She oversees the 147-acre campus on a lake where I hold the annual Okoboji Writers’ Retreat. It is a relatively large area of prime waterfront property owned by the Board of Regents. And it’s one of the best-kept secrets, even from homeowners who have lived in the area for generations.

Once you know about this place and the opportunities for learning, growing, and exploring nature, you’ll be glad you joined our call today at noon.

Lakeside Labs has a long repuation for being a place for scientists to study water quality. It is that and so much more. They offer opportunites for artists and musicians in residence, and student learning galore.

Hurry and catch one of the remaining spots for the Okoboji Writers’ Retreat. I just uploaded the Monday curriculum on the website, and will add Tuesday and Wednesday this week:

LAKESIDE

Surrounded by lake shore mega mansions, the Lakeside campus offers respite for wild turkeys, and other living things.

Bathing in the woods is a thing. It sparks creativity and quiets the soul.

Find out why it is consdidered grounding.

Join us from noon to 1 p.m.
